I know everyone here is familiar with how Sam Cowart fared after going through this type of injury, but now having to go through this again with another promising LB I was wondering how often do athletes fully recover after sustaining a torn achilles? Vinney T. recovered but he was a QB , I imagine its different for other positions like WR, DB.........

what's the degree of the tear?? it is a tendon...you could have individual fibers tear (bone chips, tendonitis), a partial tear or a complete tear...each case is different.Originally posted by jmtejada

I really hope thats what it was . I would hate to see Takeo fall short of becoming one of the greatest LB's to ever play the game. He's a got a real passion for the game and i'm sure he's gonna work real hard to get back to 100%...Comment

It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Trent Dilfer tore his...sure, not a name that strikes fear in the hearts of linebackers but he's definitely more mobile that Marino ever was.You people are depressing me...try this out so my doctor can take me off my meds!!!
