At the team meeting the night before the Saints' regular-season opener, Jim Haslett prepared to read a letter he received from New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
The Saints coach believed it was important for his players to hear Nagin's account of the horrific scenes he witnessed in the days following Hurricane Katrina.
