    On This Date in Bills History....

    1960- Even without quarterback Jack Kemp, and 3/4's of their starting secondary, the Chargers still defeated the Bills 24-10. Charger's quarterback Bobby Clatterbuck was 9 of 15 for 70 yards in relief of Kemp.

    1962- The Bills practiced with false numbers on, for fear that Al Davis would have a spy watching their practices.

    1966- The Bills defeat the Chiefs 29-14 before the largest crowd ever in Kansas City.

    1988- Ditka's Bear defense limits the Bills to zero yards on the ground, as the Bills get spanked by the Bears 24-3 at Soldier Field.

    1994- Wannestedt's Bear defense limits Jim Kelly to a mere 116 yards passing as the Bills once again fall in Chicago, 20-13.

    1995- Paced by two Jim Kelly touchdown passes, the Bills win a Monday Nighter in Cleveland, 22-19.

      It's really horrible to remember this Ditka's era and specially this zero yards game.

      On the other hand, I wonder what would Mike Ditka have provided to this team if he was hired as Bills head coach last year... Could you see the same kind of draft picks or the same attitude surrounding everything but the Buffalo Bills?

      IMO it would have been very interesting to see Bellichick's Patriots against Ditka's Bills fighting for the AFC East race...

        Wasn't Bernie Kosar the opposing QB? I remember something about "Battle of Miami"

          Battle of Miami..yes....Kosar..no...Testeverde was the Browns QB
          Kosar left Cleveland during the 93 season for Dallas and was Marino's backup in Miami from 94-96
