27-41...That is the record that the Buffalo Bills have amassed since their current general manger Tom Donahoe stepped in. When Donahoe came to Buffalo prior to the 2001 season, the team was in salary cap jail after their former General Manager, the late John Butler, was fired. He got the Bills out of cap jail but hasn't done much else. So far, Buffalo has not made the playoffs under his reign.

Re: Bills must make a change at a key position...GM
I think the Donahoe era should certainly be carefully evaluated after this season. If we fail to make the playoffs again, it will be five straight years on TD's watch, which - to my way of thinking - automatically qualifies him as a failure.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Thanks for the source. It's clear that Connor Byrne really knows everything about this team and I'm sure any Bills fan appreciate his comments.
To be frank, I was really happy with Commander Donahoe but Bills are simply a laughingstock and something told me that he was not the answer when he decided to draft fake Williams. I didn't know why he was fired and it made me understand the entire Bills as an organization.
Mr. Ralph Wilson Jr;
If you are visiting this page, please it's wise start thinking that Bills lost the gamble and it's necessary to start the long trip again.
Please, you have the best 12th man in the entire league and don't hesitate to fire someone who played real fantasy football here.

Re: Bills must make a change at a key position...GM
How likely is it Ralph Wilson is going to fire someone who has kept his pockets flush with money the last 5 years? Also, Dohahoe just received a two-year extension. Can anyone see Ralph firing TD when he'll have to eat the 2 years on his contract and eating the 3 years left on MM's contract?
Here to point out the obvious....

I agree with Philster entirely. TD has been a major disappointment. He was supposed to be some kind of guru but has hardly shown that. But Ralph is getting old and complacent and TD knows how to cater to him...lot of bs like he gives all of us.

Only thing I disagree with is his assessment of Mike Williams.. While he certainly hasn't played at the level you'd expect out of a #4 pick, he is a capable starter.
Unfortunately, as was mentioned above, it doesn't much matter... TD will be around for at least a couple more years.
My enthusiasm for this team has really gone into the toilet the last couple of years, and its a shame. But there's only so much of this garbage you can take, and still get excited about Sundays.

TD's biggest problem is hiring coaches who's biggest qualification is how fast he can say "YES/OK TOM".
If we don't make playoffs this year, get rid of Tom and bring in Charlie Weis. I doub t he'll go anywhere since it's first year of coaching ND but give him an offer he can't refuse just like the fins did w/ Saban.

Re: Bills must make a change at a key position...GM
I never liked the hiring of TD in the first place. Bill Cowher made the Steelers what they were and are. And that is why TD is no longer there and why Cowher is still there.
His drafts in Pitt. were not great and if I do recall they always had problems when players came up on their contract years. Samething here in Buffalo.

The best you can hope for is for Ralph to pitch a fit and fire him hastily.
(Like he did with the last two GMs he had.)
Maybe none will disagree... (players included)

I agree. I have been reading alot of Connor Byrne's articles at realfootball365.com. He must have inside knowledge of the Buffalo Bills. He's a great writer and I can agree with everything he says. You speak for all of us, Connor Byrne. GREAT JOB!

Re: Bills must make a change at a key position...GM
My problem with TD is that he never replaced Pat Williams! Granted he was on the wrong side of 30 but we need that 2nd Fat Guy in there. I would have thought he learned from 2002 when we had the offense and we gave up so many rush yards with Williams/Edwards at the DTs. Is Cletidus Hunt still out there?

Re: Bills must make a change at a key position...GM
Good find Philster!
Well I've *****ed enough about Commander Tom this week. I agree that he hasn't been spectacular with keeping key guys like Pat Williams among the other things we've all griped about. All of my complaining won't change much of anything but my wallet will. If we don't make the playoffs and Donahoe isn't fired at the end of this season then the organization will expect that next year I will not buy any merchandise for a second straight year, not renew my Bills Digest subscription for a second straight year, and will not go to a game for the first time ever since 1998. I'll always be rooting for the team on Sunday and would never even consider changing allegiances but I will not shovel money into an organization run by a GM who really doesn't care what some pea brain fan like myself thinks.
