After reviewing the remaining schedule, all of the teams still have to play a great bucs team & the falcons just like we did & NE has to play the Colts unlike the rest of the division. NE also currently has a conference loss unlike us. The Bills have not played a divisional games yet but have won our only conference game and the Jets have made the Dolphins 0-1 in divisional play. The Jets themselves are no longer a real threat & should be easy enough for the Bills to defeat both games. If we can defeat Miami in this game and right the ship we have a darn good chance of taking the division. I do not see NE beating the Falcons and you might as put you money on the Caddy to take care of business this week in NY.

The Bills need to abuse their own division and if we do that, we can win it. Divisional play is huge in tie-breakers and I see a log jam of 8-8/9-7 teams at the end of the year. If we are there with the tie breakers, we are in.

The Fish have a tough schedule, but it really isnt that bad, I think New England has a harder schedule. It is beteween those 3 teams now, although I doubt my team will make the playoffs, not w/ an 8-9 win record, although it has happened before.

Tough set of games for all the teams in the AFC east this year.

That's all well and good, but that doesn't make me happier. I want this team to play well if we're going to make the playoffs. Backing into the playoffs with an 8-8 record as a result of playing in a crappy division just doesn't excite me. A first round dismantling on national TV would be more humiliating than just quietly bowing out after 16 games.

I might not be lost yet but an awful lot hangs on the next two games lose them and we are 1-5 win 'em and we are 3-3. There's a world of difference and they are divisional games also.

I hope we beat the damn Fin and then cruise by Jets.

The Jets themselves are no longer a real threat & should be easy enough for the Bills to defeat both games.how are the bills any diffrent than the jets at this point?

1-3
no qb
no longer a real threat

how you count the jets games as easy wins is beyond me. your teams are virtually identical except for the fact that the jets' defense isn't giving up 170 rushing yards each week at 5 yards a pop.

No, we are not the same. JP should progress at a faster rate than Bollinger and is more quick footed than Bollinger. If Vinny is put in, he may have more experience, but is almost as slow as Drew - and there was a reason he was let go in Dallas.

We also probably have a better receiver corps - especially when Parrish gets that cast off. Willis is much younger and has more stamina than Martin does, although Martin might block better. Our backup RB (Shaud) is better than the Jet's backup now that Lamont Jordan is gone.

On the defensive side, we have a group that is underperforming and can hopefully get it together to perform similar to last year. The potential of where they should be far exceeds where the Jets are and where they can be.

Our achilles heel right now is the Oline. If we can get them performing like they did against Houston, everything else will fall into place...

well,

the fact is in terms of games and schedules, we absolutely have a shot at this.

the thing is, we have to improve.

we have improved our run game and our run d (i will forgive the big yards late on sunday, we controlled them and just gave the ball back too many times) is looking better.

we need to not be stupid and predictable on D, our blitzes on 3rd down are just terrible.

our special teams are solid, even tho lindel has garbage range.

we need a passing game/play from our QB position. passing game means better blocking and play calling, and JP to just kinda snap into being a better QB. i still think if we are going with JP the lowest hanging fruit is him running the ball. if we take away 5 passes we attempted on 1st and second down last week and replaced them with runs, I bet we get a whole lot more first downs, which means more running, which opens up play action etc...

so we really need to see this whole team snap to life against miami, and then i can get my hopes up again
