    On This Date in Bills History....

    1963- The Bills shutout the Raiders 12-0, before 24,000 at War Memorial.

    1980- Buffalo wins out in San Diego, 26-24, and at 5-0, is left as the only undefeated team in the entire NFL.

    1983- Shula announces that rookie Dan Marino would start over incumbent David Woodley against the Bills that coming weekend.

    1997- The Bills defeat the Lions 22-13, paced by Bruce Smith's safety of Barry Sanders with two minutes to play.

      That was sweet....right in front of me...a bunch of us had our hands up signalling safety before the ball was even snapped
