"It's tough. I talked to a lot of veteran players, and we want to win now," said Moulds, the only player left on the roster who played in Buffalo's last playoff game in 2000. "For a veteran player, the window's closing for us and we want to try to win now."

Sorry to break it to you Emo, but it ain't happening this year. You may as well ask for a trade cause that window is closed.

"Holcomb is a nine-year NFL veteran, who signed with Buffalo as a free agent in March after spending four seasons with Cleveland. He's 5-of-9 for 27 yards passing and lost a fumble in four series replacing Losman."

Yep, I can see why they want to go with him.

Holcomb was the best QB in Bills Camp in the pre-season, KH ran the offense efficiently and made the proper reads and was accurate with his delivery.. it's only fair to the other Bills Vets that he be utilized for the purpose he was brought to Buffalo - as an insurance policy.

Good find Shadow..

But maybe when posting on "Breaking News" you might want to put the Subject Matter in the title of the thread.. I never saw the post, which might explain the lack of responses in the thread.

I think the QB change will force MM and TC to stick to the basics of a run 1st gameplan.. Good move.

Why? They have a vet in there now. If anything they will get more pass happy

Good point. At least Holcomb can make throws. Again, I hate to sound like I'm bashing JP because I'm not, but he can't seem to make certain throws YET. He needs more practice. I'm sorry fellas, but regular season games isn't the time a QB should be getting his touch down. That should be taken care of already.

This staff will only ask KH to manage the offense.. at least in his 1st start as a Bill which coincides with the Bills 1st Division game of the year.

This game is huge and could salvage the Bills season with a win.

They said they were just gonna ask JP to manage the game too. Then they abandon the run eventhough Willis is averaging 5+ per carry. If they refused to be a running team with a QB that could not hit the broad side of a barn I don't believe they'll do it with Holcomb. This coaching staff does exactly opposite of what makes sense.

This coaching staff does exactly opposite of what makes sense. The staff built this Swiss Cheese line with the thoughts that they would be able to roll a mobile JP away from pressure.. they saw what happened with putting an immobile QB behind last years version of this line, which was much better at Tackle with JJ and a healthy MW.

I dont think they want to relive "Bledsoe the Return" with Holcomb trying to make a living behind Gandy and whomever our starting LT is this week, Jason Peters?

Holcomb will be pressed to throw any deeper than 15 yds behind this bunch, Willis is the only safe option to take the heat off of this staff and the QB position.

If KH goes out and stinks up the joint then what's the next option, a return to the beginning of the Losman era.. Holcomb has to manage this offense long enough for JP to figure out what he's doing wrong and how to currect his mistakes.
