noo I'm here to talk football....Personally I hate when other fans come to our board just to talk smack and waste those few seconds of our lives with useless garbage....

And we beat the Bucs cuz Vinny's back baby!!! Heimerdinger finally opened up the offense and they allowed Vinny to throw the ball around...

Obviously it was a BIG win for Jet fans but they are in no shape to be talking smack. Same with us. We beat the Dolphins. Big deal. We knew all along they were posers.

How did Martin do? Did he play today? I love to discuss matchups but to be honest with you, I haven't been keeping up with the other teams in the AFC East (a previous record of 1-3 can do that to you) except for the obvious like the injuires to Pennington, Harrison for the Pats, etc.

yeah martin played....and he did look a little better than he has so far this season...i think with vinny throwing the ball down the field opened up the defense a little bit and took that 8th man out of the box....

but even still martin has not been what he has been in the past...in fact nothing even close...i think its in part the offensive line not getting to the second level, and martin with a slightly banged up knee and showing signs of slowing down....

this is why blaylocks loss is now so important...we'll see cedric houston take his place....

in terms of what im reading around here...im seeing you guys dont have much faith in your run D...well personally, i don't have too much faith in martin right now so that may very well be a wash...

Our run defense has been (in a word) PATHETIC. One thing I noticed today that led me to believe that some of this has to do with technique and play calling is how the front four is often lined up off-set to one side, and oddly enough, usually away from the strong side of the offensive formation. I attribute this to one of Gray's pathetic efforts to put pressure on the QB and what ends up happening is that the run goes to the strong side where there is one fewer defender than blocker. Really stupid I think. I think Gray either plays too aggressively or too passive. We need a balance of somewhere in the middle.

Hi. Hope you really wanna talk about the game and not just smack like the phin trolls that were here all last weekAs Jets fans most of us get bad rap's when it comes to talking about football, now there is a bunch of Jets fans that talk a bunch of crap, and then there is some of us that enjoy talking about football. But great job on the Miami win, thats the best news i heard all day, aside from us beating Tampa!!

That Jets/Bucs game was a terrible game. Neither team looked good. I was at the game (didn't get to see any of the Bills game). I'm sorry but if we cannot beat the Jets the way they played today then the Bills don't deserve to stay out of the cellar.

the jets defense looked pretty good today...the ST in exception of the punter was horrible...but the offense did a decent job against the #1 defense in the league...

compare the Jets to the Bills right now and you have an even game at this point in the season...both teams are playing below their potential...should be a good game

I think that Holcombe will get the start again and hopefully be just as successful. It will be a very good game especially since we are both coming off decent wins. Division games are the best! The outcome of next Sundays game may have certain implications further into the season.

this game definitly has huge implications for the season...it seems to be a tight race this year and the division record may decide the division champ! the jets are currently 1 - 0 in the division and a win would move em to 2 - 0...and i know the bills just beat the fins so i'm gonna assume their 1 - 0 also...

all i know is this game is a lot bigger than it seems especially considering our teams records...

I really think the bills can pull off a win against the jets, if holcomb stays consistent, and mcgahee runs like a beast again, but we cant go into that game with to much confidence, the jets r tricky

plus remember as of now, both teams are 1-0 in the AFC east........ granted it may be a bit early for playoff convos now, but its a start...... especially now that miami is 0-2 lol

My though is the Bills win. You beat the Bucc's because Caddie was hurt, he plays and you lose. Willis will have a big game and Vinny comes back down to earth some. Losing Blaylock for 6 to 8 weeks means its all up to old man Martin! The injury bug has found the Jets!

i'm not so sure about that...the jets have done a great job against the run...if he played he still would of played hurt so i don't see how that guarentees them a win...

and losing blaylock looks worse on paper then on the field...the jets barely used blaylock to this point and leave it up to old man martin anyway...but lets not forget that old man was the rushing champ last year...

it's gonna be a good game this weekend

My thoughts?

If the Bucs-Jets game was boring, wait until you get ahold of the Toilet Bowl coming up this Sunday. Your star QB is taking Viagra and Geritol, and ours is taking self-proclaimed "man pills." Holcomb is no Joe Namath either. Doesn't get any better than this. Both offenses are averaging about 12-14 points a game. Here's a tip if you can get it to Herman Edwards: try to stay within 7 points by the end of the first quarter, because after that our offensive coaches run out of steam, don't make any adjustments, and become so predictable that a junior high school coach could predict the plays. This is the team that lost to New Orleans 19-7, who then lost to winless Green Bay the next week 52-3. That all being said, for some reason, I think the Bills might actually win this one! Could be a battle of the field goal kickers......

I think our running game would get a huge boost if Herm set his loyalties aside and gave Cedric Houston a shot. The kid has alot of pontential and should be given 10-15 carries a game...

Nothing but Football talk here you don't have to worry about posters calling YOU "GlassBowl":yucky:

Actually it seems like old man Martin had a sub par game against the top ranked Bucs Defense.. through the 1st 4 games he was averaging 2.8ypc and against the Bucs he averaged about 2.3.

I think C-Mart will find it tough to have a breakout game against this Bills Defense that looks to improve on a solid Phins performance.

And our kicker is sucking baaaaaad right now!!What up BleedNC..

Punting and field position could be a big factor, I feel alot better about Holcomb starting from his own 40 than inside his own 20.. Moorman is just hitting his stride and Lindell is finally showing some range outside of 45 yds.

well the bills may be #1 against hte pass, but 30/31 on the run is a bad sign....

only jets special teams bright spot is our australian punter
