View Full Version : Why is our offense so terrible in the 2nd half of games?

Today's win was good, especially against the dolphins, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

The positives:
1. Kelly Holcomb was calm and patient and made the right throws.
2. Moulds, being the spokesman for the veterans about benching Losman, finally backed up his talk.
3. The secondary came up big by making the plays we needed on defense.

The negatives:
1. Offensive line could hardly create enough room for Willis to run through.
2. The run defense is still horrible giving up big long gainers and 100yd games to 3 of 4 running backs they've faced.

The biggest negative though is that our offense is still awful in the 2nd half of every game. What's the problem here? Lack of adjustments? Because our offense was so ineffective in the 2nd half, Miami was able to get back into the game. If we're going to win many games, this issue will have to be corrected.

because the opponents D makes adjustments and Mularkey and Clements are not smart enough to adjust to them

Whatever Mularcky and Clment cook up is diagnosed by half-time.

Despite being a running offense it is a finese offense.

Because we take stupid holding penalties in the 2nd half that backs us way up. On top of that we lose the field position battle generally.

Our O is a joke because we went from a HOF QB to the LOSSman and a career back-up. Yeah, Losman was rackin' in the minutes today!

Bledsoe will be a HOF in 40 years maybe!
