A look at the standings and our schedule

WOW, its gonna be tough to get into the playoffs.

    10 more AFC games.

And the AFC is all knotted up. Look:

    Ne 3 and 3, Miami 2 and 2, Bills 2 and 3, Jets 2 and 3
    Cin 4 and 0, Pitt 2 and 1, Clev 2 and 2, Bal 1 and 3
    Indy 5 and 0, Jax 2 and 2, Tenn 2 and 3, Houston 0 and 4
    Den 4 and 1, KC 2 and 2, SD 2 and 2, Oak 1 and 3

Ugghhh. So basically it looks to be a big fat toss up year in the AFC which would seem to be good for a Bills squad that could esily end up at 8 and 8 or 9 and 7.

But, we have to play 10 more AFC teams including 2 against the Pats who are now staring to rise again, and the Jets who managed to beat ATL with Vinny. If we split those both, we then have lost 2 AFC games. We then have to play KC, Denv, Cinn, and Oak. Oak is a very good team despite going 1 and 3 so far. Cinn is undefeated so far. KC could stroll all over our D and lets face it our O cant go point for point. Denv might be the most winnable but aint a sure thing. If we are lucky we beat Miami in Miami.

Im saying we beat Miami again, split with NE and Jets. Lose to Oak and KC, and beat Den.

That means we lose 4 games in the AFC, which means at best we are 9 and 7, with a 4 and 2 AFC East record. That assumes we beat Car. That might be good enough to do it, but with the AFC west being so up in the air and both KC and OAK beating us, we still may not get in.

good lord that's a rough schedule. i was feeling pretty decent after today's win, but you're right -- you'd have to be an optimist to assume 9-7 with that schedule. I personally don't think we're going to split the pats, but with some luck we might be able to sweep the jets. as for the rest of those games, yikes! the only consolation is that most of those teams have been pretty inconsistent, so we can beat them if we catch em on an off day. Otherwise, it might get ugly.

The Jets beat the Bucs, the Pats beat the Falcons.
