There was a noticeable absence of bravado from the Buffalo Bills defense Sunday following the team's 20-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins.
After munching on fat slices of humble pie the past three weeks when they were carved up like turkeys at Thanksgiving during losses to Tampa Bay, Atlanta and New Orleans, the members of Buffalo's beleaguered defensive unit opted against pounding on their collective chests and comparing themselves to the great defenses in NFL history.
