    Jerry Gray

There has always been talk about Gray being a head coach candidate in this league for some time. Is gray's contract up after this season?

If he leaves, who would you want to be this team's new D-coordinator?

I hope go does leave, I hate his defensive schemes. Bring back Cottrell or Phillips or one of the defensive coaches from the Steelers and lets go back to the 3-4.

Agreed... I've never been a HUGE JerryG fan... I think most of what works was a holdover from Greg Williams. The further we get away from their tenure, the worse our defense gets...

Jerry G's 3rd down lack of efficiency alone should get him canned.

I like his aggressiveness and when the blitzing works, but I can't stand the ****ing 10 yard cushion that our DBs are constantly giving the receivers.

I dont mind him so much, I moreso hate the stubborness of our coaching all around. When something isnt working CHANGE IT.

They went after Vick all game long, blitzing like every down and it wasnt working. But they kept at it and we lost a game we had a chance at winning.

Yeah, face it. Gray is the sloppy seconds, GW left behind.

yeah and this would get TD off the hook as far as getting a real defensive tackle cuz Sam could play nose guard, flanked by any of our existing D lineman. Posey could come up into a 4-3 look when necessary. We'd need another starting-caliber linebacker though, especially if TKO doesn't come back at 100%.

I'm in favor of a 3-4 D. I know Sam can handle the nose tackle position, but can shobel and Kelsay handle it? As far as Posey goes, he hasn't done much of anything in our 4-3 scheme. Ever since he left the Texans, he's proven he can only be very effective in a 3-4 scheme. I'm sure the Texans miss him right now.

                  meh

they took the ball away plenty on sun and had some missed tackles to keep miami in the game. i think we had a pretty kick ass scheme against miami considering.

no way in hell do we have the people for a 3-4.

we need 2 solid DTs, and MASSIVE ENDS. phil hanson, bruce, wiley, these guys are like 30+ pounds bigger than our guys.

we'd need 4 or 5 new linemen to play that scheme, and we'd have to move shobel to LB.

all we need is a couple young safties to replace our current guys in a couple years, and 1 or 2 interior linemen.

Our ends are too undersized for the 3-4 as stated above. That'd mean Schobel would be gone, and he just signed a new deal. Although, if we would pick up a player like...Julian Peterson, all bets are off.

No doubt he's a head coach next year and he takes Nate with him.

if Gray goes, TD will make his buddy Dick Lebeau an offer he can't refuse. Dick is already familiar w/ our players and our players are already familiar w/ his system.
