The AFC East's most startling news came early in the day, before any of the games had kicked off. New England linebacker Tedy Bruschi, presumed out for the year while recovering from a stroke, said he intends to play this season. And Bruschi is targeting Oct. 30 - a Sunday night game against Buffalo - as the date for his return. The way things are going, the Patriots will need him. They've given up more points than any other team in the AFC. They're struggling to stop the run.
