    Old news, decent 3rd back (perhaps 2nd back in some systems) but for the most part with Willis performing as expected, Shaud backing him up very well, and Lionel gates showing promise I fail to see what we need him for.

              Q's better then Lionel. Just as good as Shaud too. But he's not a necessary pickup.

                  I would concede that Quentin Griffin may be more proven than gates, and it may be that Gates will turn out never to amount to anything, but I don't think it is a given that Griffin is better than Gates. Gates simply hasn't had time to show whether or not he's a good back. Almost any running back seems able to succeed in the Bronco offensive system.
