I watched the game on WTSN yesterday & Hailey held her own.
As the starting centre for her team, she took 18 faceoffs, won nine of them, lost six and tied three. She also won a key faceoff in the offensive zone on her teams first goal, got it straight back to the point man for an assist on his (one-timer) goal.

Overall, a very good debut. What was interesting was this team has a couple of "novelty" acts...both Hailey and they also have a set of twins that play on the same line. By "novelty" I'm not taking anything away from Hailey...this team would rank up there with the Montreal Royals, the pro baseball team that Jackie Robinson came into the pros with in terms of progressive thought.

Twins is a novelty? Don't the Canucks have them beat on that one?

You forgot to mention she also put the puck in her own net.

Also there was a German woman who played for 27 games in the European league, so she is NOT the first woman, other than a goalie, to play for a mens league.

Wickenheiser is prettier...Cami Granato might be prettier...how would you like to center that line...Wickenheiser and Granato on the wings

funny, they are better hockey players than their brothers...

Wickenheiser, maybe, but Tony Granato is a solid player.

BTW, I'd like to thank Les Habitants for selecting Doug Wickenheiser ahead of their own favorite son, Denis Savard.

I'd rather be with C. Granato and H. Wickenheiser.

Yeah, but didn't the Germans also have a bunch of cuties on their women's swim team, too? ;)

I think we have a true Blind guy in the "Judge Shelby and the news chick" contest.

Everyone puts the puck in their own net once in awhile. I'd be worried if it was a constant occurence. Playing goalie myself for over 15 years (soccer though) I've been a victim of that blooper on many occasions. And it does suck!
