    On This Date in Buffalo Bills History...

    October 27th.

    1961- Lou Saban is hired as pro personnel director of the Bills.

    1962- The Bills defeat Denver 45-38, with a 22 point fourth quarter scoring burst.

    1974- Buffalo holds Chicago to two field goals in a 16-6 win.

    1979- Syracuse plays a home game against Miami at Rich Stadium, and freshman Jim Kelly throws a touchdown pass in the third quarter.

    1997- The Bills spot the Broncos a 20-0 lead, then replace Collins with Van Pelt and tie the game, only to lose on an Elam field goal in OT.

    2002- Bledsoe throws for 302 yards in a 24-17 victory over the Lions at the Ralph.

      That WR reverse option play might've worked had Henning remembered Andre Reed was right-handed
