sophomore slump I guess

but, he's mainly a deep threat and the coaches rarely call deep passes. When they do, either Holcomb didn't have time to throw or JP overthew him. It's not entirely his fault.

It is simply because he is the #2 receiver in a poor passing offense.

Evans is a speed guy who doesn't necssarily burn guys and get wide open, but he can get a step down the field. WR's like him excel when they have a QB who throws a strong, accurate deep ball, but can really struggle without one. Anyhow, His dropoff really seems to have been overlooked so far this year.
