BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Here's what happens when your quarterback is a four-letter word, rhymes with sick and starts with V. (for victory, naturally):
• Your offensive coordinator becomes brilliant, an absolute master strategist. (In other years, with other quarterbacks, the fan base occasionally deems the play calling conservative and dim-witted.)

Marcus Vick has the Hokies within reach of the national title game.

• Your head coach looks taller and more handsome. And his jokes are hilarious.
• Your supporting cast is fantastic. The offensive line has never blocked better and the receivers have never made better catches. When there is a Vick at quarterback for Virginia Tech, everything is Hokie dory. The cheerleaders are cuter, the band plays louder and the uniforms look better (except for that orange-sleeved look Nike is forcing upon the nation).

We gave him the beginning of our season, he pretty much gave it away. You can say it's not his fault but this says differently:

you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds to give up on a guy after 4 games? :shakeno: If you were in charge, do you have any idea how many QBs wouldn't be starting in this league now...like Manning, Favre, McNabb, Palmer, Eli Manning, and Plummer just to name a few

This is what annoys me. Some guy talking about losing the rest of our games to draft a QB that from what I have read probably wont even be a first round pick. Then he tells me that in just 4 games Losman has proved to him that he is a first round bust. This is a ridiculous thread. LOG please delete this. I will give you like 5 zone bucks if you do.

It is patently ridiculous to write off JP after 4 games, and suggest that we take another QB in the first round of next year's draft.

We need to rebuild both our O and D lines next year. Glaring weaknesses along both lines are the main reason we have not been successful. We can draft a QB in the first round every year until Hell freezes over, but if we can't protect him, and can't stop the run, it won't matter.

Why isn't he a first rounder than?

Never know maybe he will be.

If the Bills are picking near #10 this year and a stud DT or DE is not there to pick, I wouldn't even be upset picking Vick 10th.

He had some off the field issues that may hurt his draft stock, like they did with Moss.

TacklingDummy

We need to rebuild both our O and D lines next year. .

I believe JP won't be a above average QB even with a great O-line.

So IMO drafting Vick and getting o-line help later in the draft would be better then getting O-line help early in the Draft and having JP still back there taking off every other pass play because he can't read a defense.

But like I said, I'd like to draft a stud DE/DT in round 1 if there is any left and if not I wouldn't ***** about drafting Vick.

11-04-2005, 06:37 PM
somewhat related: if and when JP gets back in there, we need to run him like his name was Vick. 12 carries a game.

Right now get a real exper.. PRO New Head coach or College Head coach. Bills have been getting defence coach or Offen.. coach. That suck!! Bills have not make in playoff in 5 years!! Waht about Green Bays QB is stink in the hole. Because He is old... Right now Viking QB hurt his KNEE and he can't run around like squrreil not any more. But he can throw the ball.and also Jets all QB are hurt too. Who ever will get the New QB in the next season.

Am I really reading this nonsense? The Outsider is amused that you anus monkeys think that Mexico Jr. is the answer to this teams woes. It don't matter if Joe Montana in his prime played behind this god awful offensive line, the end result would be the same!

Don't rule out Losman just yet, this kid was never given a chance because of the bafoon in the front office. The Outsider also believe that a coaching change is necessary to make any strides...but don't worry about losing the rest of the games, that might happen anyway given this teams futility on both sides of the ball.

The Dummy is amused with the Outsider.

I haven't seen anyone say Vick would be the answer to all the Bills problems. He'd be a good piece to the puzzle. (over what the Bills have now)

And Losman was given a chance. If he showed any indication in the first 4 starts that he was gonna be a good QB in the future I would not of given up on him. He showed no progress, he's inmature, feels "uncomfortable leading older men", some of his college team mates didn't like him and called him selfish, and I have a feeling alot of the Bills player's don't like him, he's a Bust.

The Dummy would call JP just another RJ but that be a insult to the Super Bowl ring wearing Robosack.

His learning curve would be much shorter? HOW??? Because he can scramble? He virtually pissed his pants against the 'Canes' defense. Against an NFL defense, he'd be a poster child for Depends undergarments. Marcus, like his older brother, scrambles BECAUSE he doesn't have a great handle on the offense. If he follows his brother and enters the draft after only two years, he'll be another five years of hype, followed by three years of excuses from the hypesters.

There is also no way that TD or MM get axed after this year. Rediculous.

Deserved, but rediculous. Ralph has shown over the years that he will not pay a contract while the guy is not working at 1 bills drive. TD is under contract for a while and MM is under 3 more years.... they arnt going any where till the contract is up and you know it.

Anyone who says that JP is a bust already is an idiot (football wise that is)

Michael Vick Biography - College Years

Michael Vick began playing college football (http://www.kidzworld.com/site/p4760.htm) at Virginia Tech in 1998. He led the Hokies to the National Championship Game against Florida State in 1999 and finished his college career with an amazing 20-1 record as a starter. His outstanding speed, arm strength, and ability to elude tackles led the Atlanta Falcons to pick him first overall in the 2001 NFL draft.

http://www.nflplayers.com/players/player.aspx?id=30067- Led the team to an 11-4 record, which was the third-best record for a starting quarterback in team history behind Chris Chandler (13-1 in 1998)
