Also at practice today, defensive lineman Sam Adams talked openly about his benching during the second half of the New England game. Adams said that he's not comfortable with his role on defense but will do whatever Mike Mularkey wants him to do. Adams also said that the benching does not motivate him and that it "irritates me and takes away the focus of what I need to do."

The NFL players may not realize it but they are hired to do a job. If they fail to perform in thier duties they maybe relieved of them temporarily or permanently. This type of poor behavior by Sam might have cost us the NE game and/or the season potentially. It's a shame that he can't do what he is told to do by the people that pay him. :rage:

It's a shame that Mularkey is treating him like crap. He's handling it well.

a) on not being motivated by a benching - bulls**t. every time he's ever been benched he comes out like a raging bull. so suddenly this time is different.

b) the coach's job is to make decisions that maximize the team's ability to win. sam's job is to follow the coaches plan. if he doesn't like it he can sit
