    Bruce DeHaven- Please come home!

Looks like Mariucci has been released from the final year of his contract.

It is unknown about the fate of his staff.

    Bruce DeHaven

During his tenure in Buffalo, the Bills made four consecutive Super Bowl appearances, won six AFC East championships and appeared in 20 playoff games. In those 13 years, DeHaven helped develop two of the greatest special teams players in NFL history: Mike Pike and Steve Tasker.

Under DeHaven’s tutelage, Tasker was invited to seven Pro Bowls as the AFC’s Special Teams Player and was voted the 1993 Pro Bowl MVP. In 1996, The Dallas Morning News, in a ranking of the 19 most important statistical categories, named the Bills special teams unit the best in the NFL. His 1991 punt coverage unit led the NFL in fewest punt return yards allowed, the lowest total since the NFL changed the rules allowing only the ends to release on punt coverage when the ball is snapped. DeHaven also guided the Bills’ kickoff coverage unit to a No.1 ranking in the NFL four consecutive years (1987-90).

I would love to see DeHaven come back to Buffalo, but the way he was treated after the Music City Miracle, it would take an awful lot.

Damn Wade Phillips. He had no problem firing DeHaven, but is willing to lose his job over Ronnie Jones. This is why I think he is a S.O.B. And no, that doesen't stand for the Son of Bum.

No, the Bills still have Danny Smith. But if they could get DeHaven back, by all means if I were in their position I would.

              UPDATE:
Special teams coordinator Bruce DeHaven, linebackers coach Richard Smith and secondary coach Brett Maxie were dropped by the 49ers. DeHaven and Smith both had contracts that expired this month, while Maxie was under contract for next season.

DeHaven was hired later in the day by Bill Parcells to be the Dallas Cowboys' special teams coach. DeHaven coached the Buffalo Bills' special teams for 13 seasons before spending the past three with the 49ers.
