A contrite Owens, hoping to overturn his dismissal from the Philadelphia Eagles (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=phi), on Tuesday apologized to coach Andy Reid, quarterback Donovan McNabb (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=4650), the team's owner and president, and fans.
However, Eagles officials who watched the news conference told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio that the team will not take Owens back.

I wouldn't take him back either, but I just read an interesting article about how the entire sports world needs a reality check. It mentioned different sports celebrities and the scandals they have been involved in, the escalating salaries, it really shed some light on the whole picture. Its a shame that such talent (Owens) is attached to such arrogance, he has all the potential to be the best.
