Jim Kelly maybe going to jail, oh no

If this happens, it's going to Kill me personally.

In a sign of an increased acceptance of Internet gambling, online casinos in recent months have signed endorsement deals with a group of celebrities, including Tom Arnold, the actor; Brooke Burke, a model turned television host; and Jim Kelly, a former quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.
But there is a big potential catch: these stars and others who profit by promoting offshore casinos could be putting themselves in legal jeopardy. The government considers these Internet sports books to be violating American law by providing unlicensed gambling on domestic shores.
Further, the government has said in the past that it could prosecute Americans who promote and assist such foreign operations for effectively aiding and abetting their illegal activities.
"There's a good chance they are criminally liable for the crime itself," said I. Nelson Rose, a professor at Whittier Law School in California and the author of "The Law of Internet Gaming." For celebrities who draw attention from law enforcement officials, he said, "the downside danger is enormous."

Tom Arnold SHOULD go to jail. Not for endorsing an internet gambling site, but for having married Rosanne Barr.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

They like making examples of celebs that break the law.
I had a person I know near where I live that talked all about internet gambling and he gave advice and told people where to make wagers. The internet sites gave him kickbacks and he went to jail because of it. 17 people all got fried because of it, what's the difference here.

These people live here and are telling them where to go and getting paid for it. Big potential for trouble there.

              Ouch.

              Can't happen.

If a marital choice precedent was set, Clinton would be in trouble plenty, and there's too many judges still serving that owe their appointments to him to allow it.

Now it all makes sense. I always wondered why Jimbo chose the Houston Gamblers over the Bills. Now, I get it. The whole gambling thing and what not.

He's been in a little trouble before, done some ****ty things. People don't really know or don't want to know because he is their golden god. I will say though, too, that he has done some great things such as creating Hunter's Hope!

Not that I think it was a wise choice for Jim Kelly to get involved in it, but it seems to me the only reason the government is cracking down on unlicensed gambling is they don't like the competition, and want a cut of the action. Perhaps the stated reason is to protect consumers from fraud, but everyone knows gamblers get better odds from illegal gambling operations and bookies than they ever did from a government sponsored lottery.
