...as your defense made the Buffalo Bills look like chumps today.

You were unjustly run out of town by an owner who's franchise isn't even .500 for its history. All you ever did here was never have a losing season, and you got ****canned for it.

It must taste extra sweet. Enjoy this one tonight.

And for those of you who scoffed when The Historian named Marty Schottenheimer as whom he would like to be the next Bills Coach a few years back...

Eat that!

Agreed :bf1:

I dont like Marty Schottenheimer but he (as everyone else has this season ......bar Saban :snicker: ) outcoached our handi-caps today.

As much redemption as Wade gets its a fraction of what the o-line coach Carl Mauck or John Butler who drafted LT and Brees in the same draft should get.

I also mentioned Schotty as a HC possibility way back when.

He's in his 20th season- and has had only TWO losing seasons.

People mock him for his playoff losses- well- you have to get to the playoffs consistently to be marked by that criticism.

Marty ball is not a fit for Buffalo. While I like the creative emphasis at times the personnel we pick up does not match his coaching style.

To be fair though, our personnel isnt a good match for...well...the rest of the personnel either.

Drew and Holcomb when you have a pathetic o-line?

and underiszed ILB in Fletcher when you have a open door rushing D?

Well it sure isn't a fit for the power running game Mularkey has been talking about because minus the Pats game I havn't seen us show it. Granted this game wasn't really fair to see it because of the point difference in the first half.

While Fletcher is undersized he does atleast fly to the ball and make plays. You have to like the strips he has made this year. I think he leads the team in tackles this year as well as last year to. Not saying other people can't do it I just don't know of very many other ILB's atm via FA that fit our defensive scheme that are a big improvement.

This is EXACTLY what Im talking about as far as personnel mismatches. Fletcher + Adams and Williams in a 4-3 = very very good. Fletcher + Adams and a career backup DT = liability against the run. He doesnt have the size. In the right situation he is a great player. But not when you suck at run D up the middle. TD screwed up by not resigning or replacing Pat. I seriously wanted to puke when I heard him spew that crap about how highly he thought of Ron Edwards when asked about the loss of Pat. Well, TD you perpetually go the cheap route and YET AGAIN your faced with another example of the cost of that move.

Wade Phillips unjustly run out of town? That sack of crap is the worst head coach I've ever seen. Yeah let's put Rob Johnson in for the first playoff game. Idiot. We'd have finally won a Super Bowl that year if it weren't for that fat fool.

he also told the team not to worry about the Indy game because we were eliminated from playoff contention.. when in fact, we were not.. and if we would have won that game, we would have made it.

Yeah assuming we survived until the superbowl, then we would have beaten the Rams???

That year they were unstoppable.

The Bills lost to the Titans in the Music City Miracle. The Titans went on to the Super Bowl and only lost by 7 points. In fact if I recall correctly, they fell just a couple yards shy of tying it up at the end of the game. The Bills were far better than the Titans were, but Phillips decided to bench the QB who got them into the playoffs and justify RJ's high pay with a start, resulting in a close game that was won on a fluke. With Flutie in there, there would have been a greater lead and the Bills would have marched on to the Super Bowl, and I believe they'd have won it. I don't see them ever having another chance.

BTW, Flutie sucked too. Remember the fumble against Miami? Phillips sucked as a head coach for plenty of other reasons besides benching Flutie.

True Flutie wasn't without his flaws, but RJ was probably the worst QB in NFL history. And you're very right, he did suck for many other reasons, but that's the one that stands out most and downright infuriates me.

I think its funny that you blame RJ for that Titans game and assume Frutie would have been up by so much more. That is straight ignorance to automatically put a win under Frutie's name. It is amazing how much hate people can have for someone they have never even met. So who is the one single player that costed us each of our four superbowls? After all it isnt a team effort, one person makes a team ... too bad we didn't have Frutie in those Bowls ... we'd surely be 4-0.

of course, at least 75% of Bills fans after the Colts game wanted Johnson to start the playoff game.

No, I just hated that piece of **** Rob Johnson and I was pissed off that they made a decision on the starter for the playoff game after only one meaningless game against the Colts. Besides, Flutie had helped to take them to the playoffs that year. He deserved the start.

:calm: its been like 4 years now ... are you still that butt hurt over it? There you guys go hating someone you have no reason to hate. This team has sucked no matter who the QB has been, even the great doug flutie. It's only a game boys, until you accept that you guys are going to be miserable. It's a shame the game means more to us then the players ...

I'm sorry for venting. I'm just pissed off. Rob Johnson just really got on my nerves and so are many of these players now. You are right. It is a shame when we care more about the Buffalo Bills than the players themselves.
