All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

If you've noticed, the better he runs in a given game, the more touches the coaching staff gives him. If he's not on in the 1st QTR, they stay away from him.
There are backs in the league that get 13-15 touches and still put up more than 39 yards.
I agree with bf1 on this- the O line and the coaching has a lot to do with Willis' lack of success. He's just not getting the carries, and when he does he's basically on his own cuz the o-line is so bad.
If he demands money, let him sit. At this point he's not worth it.
i realize the OLine is bad, but Barry Sanders didn't exactly have the greatest line of all time.
Come on, some of you guys are really babying this guy.
If a guy needs 30 touches to break 100 yards that is pretty sad, no matter how bad the line is.
Hell, I'll even correct myself because earlier in the season against Miami -- at home -- they gave him the ball 31 or 32 times, and he only got 86 yards... that's not even 3 yards per carry -- against the Dolphins.
Add that to the fact that the guy has yet to break a long run and we're 11 weeks into the season... you're telling me there hasn't been 1 hole in a 11 games where he couldn't break something off for a long gain?
If he's as good as everyone says he should be running people over regardless of how bad the line is.

He's 4.2 YPC this season. On par with the rest of the league leaders.

Yeah, because 2 of his 4 100 yard games came against teams like Houston and the Jets... the other 2 were against ATL and NE, not exactly the greatest run defenses either.
Without those games, his YPC would barely be hovering above 3.
I'll give him some slack for the lack of TD's because the coaching staff feels its wise to throw inside the 5 rather than pound it

umm, if they're good run defenses, no one else is running against them either. Willis could certainly play better, but right now he's kind of the least of this team's problems.

NY Jets - 30th ranked rush D
Houston - 32nd (dead last)
New England - 22nd (and were further down the list when WM played them)
Atlanta - 21st
Those are the 4 teams he went over 100 yards against. I think it's safe to say that everybody is running over those teams. I've had to endure several Jet games and there have been backs that did more against them than Willis.
Take it for what you will, but I think this guy is overrated...
He's played 25 games here counting last season and his longest run is 41 yards. Not exactly amazing.
If Travis Henry was putting up these numbers you guys would be going bonkers.

This is typical of any Bills player. There is always one guy on the team who most fans fawn over. This is usually a young player with lots of potential. Once a new guy comes around everyone will *****. If Lionel Gates comes in one day and has a good day everyone will junp of the McGahee bandwagon pretty quick.

I totally agree with your assessment of Willis. He has been wildly inconsistent to the point that in some games, he just doesn't seem to have the will to break tackles or drag guys for extra yardage.
Willis is basically a power runner - he has never regained the quickness or burst that he had before the injury - who often goes down way too easily.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
This team is too cute, to use this running back, 13 carries against the raiders, 10 against the chargers. I can't blame wills, he hardly got the ball, the offense hardly had the ball for the entire game. The defense is the problem, and the oline. Freeman your right, he's not sanders, but at least the lions had the common sense to know that Sanders was their best offensive player. Sanders always got his carries, why can't wills? He's the best offensive player give him the ball. Problem is coaching.
