All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
These are the only guys I think that are worth keeping:
Losman
Holcomb
McGahee
Evans
Parrish
Peters
Gandy
Preston (til he gets a shot at least)
Everrett (same as Preston)
Spikes
McGee
Crowell
Baker
Greer
King (looks good in limited action, not ready to start)
I could go either way on Vincent.
Stamer (for ST)
Moorman
Guys who HAVE to go: Moulds, Adams, Mike Williams, Josh Reed, the whole coaching staff.
Other than the list above and a few other ST guys, no one on this team is worth a damn. Our TE's are slow and have no YAC ability. The O line is just awful. The D line can't apply pressure without blitz help, and our safeties and LB's are too old and slow to get there, which leaves our CB's on islands with receivers. The whole D line has to be rebuilt. Clements makes big plays but he also makes stupid mistakes trying to make big plays. He's just not worth the money he will command. Franchise him and make another team pay up the ass for him.
At some level I feel bad for Moulds because this organization ****ed him with their inability to put a QB and O-line on the field. He could have been one of the best ever. But he's not playing well, has become a locker room poison, and makes too much money. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out Eric- you might bang your head since it's shoved so far up there.
I know we'll end up keeping more than that because it's impossible to replace that many guys. But I honestly feel like this team should just be gutted.
Looks like were taking a DT in the 1st Round. Nobody thinks the DTs on the roster are worth a damn because of age and attitude(Adams) or aren't any good(Anderson,Bannan,Sape). If we pick 9th or 10th the bills should have a shot at Haloti Ngati. Also no one thinks the guards are worth a damn either. TD better grab a guard with a 1st day pick.
Priority
1)DT- When adams leaves we won't have any good ones
2)Center- Teague was Molested by Jamal Williams yesterday
3) Guards- Preston has upside. GoodBye Bennie, not sure about Vallerial.
4)Corner- GoodBye- Nate "lock down corner"
5)WR- Need some Size, Mould may be gone, and Evans and Parrish are mighty mites.
6) Saftey- We can Keep one of the Geezers, Booth overall are getting destroyed by running backs.
7) Line Backers- Need a leader in the middle, not a fan of fletcher- Love Spikes, and Crowell, Goodbye Posey
Depending on the time frame your talking, next year? 2 years? 3 years?
Only players I see still on roster in 3 years is Crowell, Evans, McGee.
Fletcher: Old will be cut within 3 years.
Spikes: No one knows how he will play coming back from that injury. Could become unhappy and want to goto a winner and be cut.
Clements: Probably gone after this year.
McGahee: Probably gone after contract.
Moulds, Adams, Milloy, Vincent, getting old and will be gone soon.
Losman: Will be labeled a Bust and the Bills will have picked another QB via draft.
Couple more years of losing and no FA will want to come here or stay here. And soon the attendence should start to suffer. Can Anyone say the L.A. Bills? Once the attendence goes down and Ralph moves on, there will be no reason to keep the Bills in Buffalo. It's not like Buffalo is growing in population.
I like your list.
Schobel should move to left end while we bring in a true pass rush specialist. Kelsay is a solid back-up.
Fletcher and Milloy are essential to next year and possibly two years out simply because it will take a couple years to adequately replace both of them. Unless we are lucky.
