Watching the game now- Detroit vs Nashville- Looks like Jiri Fisher collapsed at theend of the bench- hard to tell if CPR or something else was done -

The game has been halted. Speculation he took a puck in the throat or had a heart attack

Apparently he took a stick to the throat while sitting on the bench- but that is unconfirmed.

He is now breathing on his own. Game is still delayed due to the fact that they won't start up until another ambulance is on station at the arena.

Jiri Fischer did have some heart issues very early in his career- it is unknown if that was an issue.

I tuned in just as he was being put in the stretcher behind the bench. Damn.

It's good to know that he's in stable condition, and breathing independently.

I turned the game on just after getting home from work, and the commotion was going on. Then, the local announcer for Nashville was giving information to the viewers at home. A scary event, indeed.
