1 4 Mike Williams T Texas ( god knows if this kid can play if hes a bust for us at least he is he isnt even starting on our PISS POOR LINE)

2 36 Josh Reed WR Louisiana State (drops passes in key situations it seems every week wont ever be a good 3rd wr for anyone)

2 61 Ryan Denney DE Brigham Young (doesnt really do anything for us will never be anything more then a guy who subs in when someone is hurt or tired)

3 97 Coy Wire SS Stanford (good special teams player horrible safety will never start for anyone in NFL)

5 139 Justin Bannan DT Colorado ( I actually think this guy is a player has played well when given chance)

6 176 Kevin Thomas CB Nevada-Las Vegas ( plays well when he was healthy things might be a bit diff if he was our nickel back and not hurt)

7 215 Mike Pucillo G Auburn (THIS GUY WAS A BUM IS HE EVEN IN NFL NOW)

7 249 Rodney Wright WR Fresno State (DRUNKEN DRIVER)

7 251 Jarrett Ferguson RB Virginia Tech (DONT EVEN REMEMber seeing him in bills uni)

7 260 Dominique Stevenson OLB Tennessee (fast smallish LB who played some special teams)


now i wont be critical of the 7th rounders but considering we picked 4th in this draft and as of WEEK 12 2005 not one of these guys starts

Man. Talk about being at a loss for words. All I can say is this draft is going to haunt this franchise for years to come. We blew it.

Yeah you make a great point. The 2002 draft has hurt this organization. Is it the coaches fault? I think its Tom Donahoes fault. Did he do his homework on Mike Williams? Coming out of college Williams had a rep as being a little lazy, and didn't play with fire coming out of his ears, and he has carried that rep into the NFL. Hindsight is always 20/20 when you evaluate drafts 3 years later but Donahoe could have picked Roy Williams or Dwight Freeney.

Excellent post, true but sad. How often do you draft #4. But to blow every round to boot? Donahoe sucks.

Good Post!! What a bad draft!! Not one premier player!! But in fairness teams have bad drafts. I think where TD gets the axe is 5 years and we are no better off. That's pathetic. Look at all of the coaches we passed on.

I disagree with Denney. He has improved. He is still not a top DE like I would like him to be, but I think he would benefit by bulking up more to handle run plays better. He does play well on special teams too. Not too long ago, he was the 1st one down in a tackle - not bad for such a big guy!!!
