short yardage play calling is terrible
Moulds, Adams, Fletcher and other vets are *****ing to the media, which they've never done before
defensive schemes are terrible (playing 5 yards of the LOS on 3rd and 2, for one example)
too many penalties, especially at crucial junctures in the game
does not adjust well during games, whereas other coaches always make successful adjustments against us (ie, he gets outcoached every game)
he outsmarts himself and common sense ("throwing a swing pass on 3rd and 2 is SO stupid that Bellicheck will NEVER expect it! I'm a genius!")
I do agree that this team has execution problems (players' faults) and talent/personnel problems (Donahoe's fault), but I also don't think Mularey is the right man for the job due to the above reasons. I honestly thought he was on the right track last year, but this year he has taken two steps backwards.

this has been a problem Gray's entire tenure here...Antoine Winfield was getting burned a lot in coverage...because he was constantly 5-10 yards off the WR

but doesn't the head coach have authority over the coordinators? If the scheme isn't working, isn't it on Mularkey to pull Gray aside and say "Hey- get your DB's on the LOS!"?

Now, no head coach should call his assistant out in front of the team, or try to micro-manage his coordinators. But when something isn't working and the coordinator fails to make appropriate adjustments, it's up to the head coach to get him to fall in line. Gregg Williams' inability to control Gilbride's ridiculous playcalling is what got him fired, despite the fact that in two years, GW took the D and ST from a joke to tops in the league.

When Mularkey let the veterans make the decision to bench JP and he didnt have the blass to stand up and keep JP in the lineup, he divided the team and lost respect of the team, there is no unity and no semblance of team play. He has lost teh respect of the players in the respect that they think they can run him.

He lost the team its easier to replace the coaching staff than to replace 50 players, case cosled enough said .

and on that note, both our D and our O have gotten worse under Mularkey. At least GW fixed the D.

There is no way we can say the vet players dictated the decision to start Holcomb as a matter of fact. That is pure speculation. Mularkey and other coaches made the damn decision and MM explained it well enough.
What we are seeing is desperation and frustration setting in with a few veterans in the twilight of their careers. This isn't the first time defensive players have been vocal about blaming the offense. It happened in 2003 and early 2004.

Let's not forget it was TD who went out and got the players for GW to do so. Fletcher, Spikes, Adams, Posey and Milloy were all great pickups. TD has yet to do the same for MM. This could turn out to be an interesting offseason. I also give MM as much credit as anyone besides Bobby April for how good our ST are.

Since when? GW's special teams sucked. I remember that bumbling fool Danny Smith chomping on his gum on the sidelines. His ST sucked. It was Mike Mularkey that got the ST to tops in the league.

the ST improved at the end of GW's last season. Anyway at least he fixed the D. Both the O and the D are getting worse under Mularkey.
