Do you think I can get any signal with a few metal coat hangers? If so, can I have the coordinates – whatever the heck means. I guess I’ll bend the hangers to the right coordinates or something.

Tie wires to a wok.

I don't have a wok. Will any metal pot or pan work?

No the shape is very important. You can take a toilet to the roof if you line the bowl with foil. Then tie wires to that.

Cool thanks EE. Now I just need the coordinates and I'll be set.

from our friends at Two Bills Drive...

Bengals game will be on G11 Transponder 14. If correct, it must be on KU band because the Independent Film Channel is on the G11 14 on C-Band. G11 is the replacement satellite for G7, so your receiver may still call it G7. It's at 91 degrees West longitude. It should be about halfway between T4 and T6

Tune to G11 (or G7) and find the IFC feed on channel 14. Switch over to KU band and flip through the channels. You may try flipping polarity from H to V or vice-versa if not found on the first pass.

G11 (G7), transponder (channel) 14, KU band.

Galaxy XI, transponder 14, is vertically polarized, with a center frequency of 11980MHz. As long as the programming info is correct, it should be easy to find (most places in North America) at 91W.

For the laymen, point the toilet toward Cincinnati. If you get the Independent Film Channel, switch the wires around.

Looks like there will be a preseason party at billfanone's house.

One more question. What if I have to take a dumb during the game? My tiolet seat will be on the roof.

It will be KU - Analog in the clear - I will be "uping" the feed here at work 2300GMT ;) (1900EDT or 700PM)

God, I love my job! www.panamsat.com

More free games:

Jax @ Atl G11 15K - 12003 H Ku - 2230GMT (630PM)

Oak@ Dal G3 2C - 3740 V C Band - 0000GMT (800Pm)

For those in Buffalo:

G11 14Ku - 11980 V (Analog)

North Lat: 42.867
W Long: 78.917

Az: 197.479817

El: 39.065612

Again this is in the clear "free" - - - - - - - -> Shhhh!

For those not in Buffalo - Let me know the largest city you live near and I can provide the coordinates!

Only if it's copper. The resistance must be just right.

That engineering school really paid off!
