Why not? Dennis Shaw was rookie of the year in 1970 playing for Buffalo. He threw for 2507 yards, 10 TD's & 20 INT's in 14 games.

BTW... Terry Bradshaw was the runner up.

50 games 924 passes 489 completions 6347 yards 35 touchdowns 68 interceptions 95 rushes 420 yards 0 touchdowns.

If that's your definition of great, you must think Rob Johnson is destined for the HOF.
