Line by line pros and cons - starters

Thought I'd break up the insanity by posting my pros and cons of the starters. My opinions, from my eyes. I’m not so great at watching for OL play.

    Pro:
Roscoe - I think he'll develop nicely. Can get open. No doubt has speed.
Evans - Proven. Will get better.
Willis – Yeah he ran his mouth, but I think if given the right situation he’ll blow up.
McGee – Good on D and great return man.
Crowell – Filled in great for Spikes. Looking forward to Spikes/Fletcher/Crowell next year.
Fletcher – He’s no superstar, but he’s a gamer. He has no help up front.
Schoebel – He brings it. Can use some help.
    Moorman – he can punt!

    Neutral:
JP – Would have been a con a few weeks ago. Seems to be learning. Jury is still out IMO.
Moulds – on downside of career and has been mouthing off. Still good though.
Lindell – I still won’t give him full support until I see some more.
Sam Adams – Can be a con, but I think he can be effective if used right.
    Teague – meh
    Villarrial – meh
    Peters - meh

    Con:
Josh Reed – Not effective at all. Catches some balls, but I don’t think he’s effective.
Mark Campbell – How’s his blocking? Receiving wise, he’s not a threat at all.
Milloy – Lost a step or two.
Vincent – Sucks at safety. He’s old too.
Kelsay / Denny – no threat.
All other DT’s – I don’t notice them at times. I don’t think other teams do either.
    Mike Williams – bust
    Benny Anderson – meh
    Gandy – meh

Overall the O can help itself if it establishes an identity. Can’t with no OL. There are plenty of weapons.

I’d like to see the younger guys develop on D. Talent wise, I don’t think it’s as dire are the O.

Hmmm. Not bad. I would move a couple upwards.
1 Peters is a pro. He was up against Talor a bunch of times and did a nice job. He's just learning the position for the first time this year!
    2. Gandy moves up to at least neutral. He hasn't been stellar but he's been fairly solid next to a suspect guard position. He gives good value for the dollar too. If we find a true LT this offseason, he could be outstanding at guard.

I've said my piece about Parrish. I'd move Willis down to neutral cuz of his dirtbag agent and cuz he runs his mouth better than he runs the ball. He needs to put up or shut up. I'd move JP up to Pro. He is improving tremendously and is the only player on this team with some fire. I'd move Moulds down to Con. He's ineffective and is creating chemistry problems, plus he's a huge cap hit if we keep him. Other than that I agree with you.

Evans is going to be some wide receiver. I severly hope that the Phins find someone that can cover him in the future.

Wills is fine this coaching staff is messing with his head. Hit the hole don't dance, well last year i thought he did great dancing. How about keeping him in on third downs. Lets see Wills is ok to be the third down back for Travis, but not be in the game on third downs when he's the starter. hmmmmm. 1st goal, throw. 3rd-2 shot gun formation. Clean house with the coaching and wills will look better.

How fitting that I forgot about Posey. hahahahaha

I put him on my con list. Because he's nonexistent.

Honestly, if we go back to a 3-4 scheme, he might be pretty good...otherwise, I don't see him doing much more than he already has and he could be let go

BF1, I agree with your assesment accept for 2 things.

                        1. Peters is a Pro.
                        2. Gandy is a neutral.

                        The rest,

I agree. Willis looked good in the 1st quarter against Miami. He even had a nice reception. He should have 4-5 of those every game. Instead, the coaching staff barely calls those formations.

IMO, when you don't take advantage of a player's abilities and instead subject him to an uncreative and bland scheme (which obviously doesn't work), that player will not be effective. With a new staff, I bet you will see him re-emerge as well.
