Thought I'd break up the insanity by posting my pros and cons of the starters. My opinions, from my eyes. I’m not so great at watching for OL play.
Pro:
Roscoe - I think he'll develop nicely. Can get open. No doubt has speed.
Evans - Proven. Will get better.
Willis – Yeah he ran his mouth, but I think if given the right situation he’ll blow up.
McGee – Good on D and great return man.
Crowell – Filled in great for Spikes. Looking forward to Spikes/Fletcher/Crowell next year.
Fletcher – He’s no superstar, but he’s a gamer. He has no help up front.
Schoebel – He brings it. Can use some help.
Moorman – he can punt!
Neutral:
JP – Would have been a con a few weeks ago. Seems to be learning. Jury is still out IMO.
Moulds – on downside of career and has been mouthing off. Still good though.
Lindell – I still won’t give him full support until I see some more.
Sam Adams – Can be a con, but I think he can be effective if used right.
Teague – meh
Villarrial – meh
Peters - meh
Con:
Josh Reed – Not effective at all. Catches some balls, but I don’t think he’s effective.
Mark Campbell – How’s his blocking? Receiving wise, he’s not a threat at all.
Milloy – Lost a step or two.
Vincent – Sucks at safety. He’s old too.
Kelsay / Denny – no threat.
All other DT’s – I don’t notice them at times. I don’t think other teams do either.
Mike Williams – bust
Benny Anderson – meh
Gandy – meh
Overall the O can help itself if it establishes an identity. Can’t with no OL. There are plenty of weapons.
I’d like to see the younger guys develop on D. Talent wise, I don’t think it’s as dire are the O.
