Sorry. I guess I should've taken out the word "Canadian."

I don't know where the world's largest mall is, Dozer. I'm in Shoppers/Spenders Anonymous right now and I'm not allowed in any mall....big or small. ;)

Isn't the Mall of America in Minneapolis the largest in America? I think you were right, Dozer.

Yeah, but West Edmonton Mall is the world's largest. Jaded probably watched the same show about it on Discovery Channel that I saw the other day.

Sure, you have time to watch the Discovery channel, but you can't even approve a simple hockey trade? :shakeno:

Jaded just wants to be accepted so she asks a hockey question thinking we'll all acccept her as a hockey equal but we can't accept her because she's not acceptable because she cheated on the question by watching the Discovery channel which is not an acceptabel form of hockey research.

Actually, I didn't get that question from the Discovery channel. I got the question from the Jeopardy calendar we keep in the kitchen. Each day there's a new question. Saturday's question was about hockey. And, I don't pretend to know much about hockey. I just thought you guys would enjoy it. :)

I hated it. That question was so easy.

Valerie

Trying to please you is a complete waste of my time, Rude. There's not much you like. I was talking to the other people who post on the hockey board. :)

Back in the old days, when there were 8 teams in the NHL what US team played in the Canadian division?

BillC
01-20-2003, 09:58 AM
Actually, one season saw 2 US teams in the Canadian division when the league had 9 clubs.

Can you guess who the two clubs were?

BillC
01-20-2003, 09:58 AM
Wrong again

Valerie
01-20-2003, 10:04 AM
No, I give up now. Maybe one of the bright light Canadians would like to answer this since apparently my question was too easy for them.;)

BillC
01-20-2003, 10:08 AM

Valerie
01-20-2003, 10:24 AM
Okay, the original six are:

Toronto Maple Leafs
Montreal Canadiens
Chicago Black Hawks
New York Rangers
Detroit Red Wings
Boston Bruins

So, my guess is two of those teams. :D

BillC
01-20-2003, 10:35 AM
Still wrong

ticatfan
01-20-2003, 10:37 AM

BillC

A strange but obscure factoid;

A lot of people don't know about the "7th Team" of the Original 6, The Liverpool Scousers. George Martin was the infamous "fifth winger."

Fat Tony

Did you know that there wasa Brooklyn team in the NHL in 1941-42?

Name the goalie that played for the rangers when the three fastest goals were scored by one guy.

Twistmyarm
01-20-2003, 06:29 PM
I thought the fastest hat trick was scored by a Blackhawk against the Canucks.....could be wrong though

two easy ones

1.) how did wings fans come to start throwing octopus,,octopusses...octopie..oh whatever onto the ice and what did they symbolize?

2.) why did Panther fans start throwing rats on the ice? (and no it wasn't because Matt "The rat" Barnaby came into town

Octopus has 8 tenacles- 1 for each playoff win needed for the Cup (back in the original 6 days)

Scott Mellanby killed a rat in the dressing room and scored twice that night. Florida went to the finals, and the Fans tossed rubber rats on the ice all season long
