View Full Version : Hmmm, Robinson Cano in Center field? That would be interesting...

Maybe he could be the speedy guy that runs around back there to catch the ball and make dazzling catches which the Yankees have needed for years? If they could fill the 2nd base position with someone who can turn double plays, I'd be intrigued with moving Robinson Cano to Center field, especially if he wants to try it.

The major leagues is no place to "try" something.

You guys should know better, especially after you had Womack "trying" all last year.

Cano has no speed. His next move will be to third base in 4 or 5 years, it won't be to center.

I just love all these stories the Yankees are coming up with to try to fool Scott Boras. :snicker:

Damon will end up in pinstripes with a god awfully huge contract.

Cashman is charge of the team now. No more stupid big ass contracts. Damon won't get a huge contract anymore. Yankees are done with that crap.

"I think we're properly assessing the market; it's not as strong, especially in our areas of need," Cashman said. "We shouldn't throw money around like drunken sailors at players that may not very well help us. We want to maintain flexibility, so in the event we have to adjust on the run, we're not locked in to the extreme where our hands are tied."

:phew: We must be going back to the late 90s Yankees, where we developed our young talent and then won 3 World Series in a row.

But it all started in the early 90's when George was suspended.
