Valerie, you'll enjoy this. :bighug:

So, I walk out of work yesterday, and at the end of the block just before I get to my car, there's this little white dog sniffing around the bushes. No leash, no sign of any people around within a block. I bend down a few feet away and say something like "hi, little cutie" and he trots right over and starts licking my hand. Uh oh....not just no leash...no tags either....heck, no collar! It's dark, cold, he's running around the park by himself with no ID, and there's a winter storm coming in. :rage:

He's cute as a button, a scraggly little white thing. Definitely has bichon frise in him, maybe even all bichon. I'm posting a found ad in the paper over the weekend, and I'll go in to the spca on Monday and file a found report. Someone has GOT to missing this little guy. He's a total love bug and not more than a year or two old. He made himself right at home at my place. If no one claims him, I guess I have a new pet.

Keep the dog Ally. Those little ankle biters are expensive. I have one myself. And if it isn't home when I get there, enjoy.

I know that's true! I already have a Shih Tzu, I love little (non-yappy) dogs. Even the ones at the small breed rescue demand $250 or more for an adoption fee!

Here are some pics. Isn't he a cutie patootie?

He's a Bichon Frise alright. Looks exactly like my dog. And he's here too so I know it's not mine. :(

There are some posters who would make up a story like that and then a few days later laugh at everyone who believed it. I didn't figure you were that type, Sabre Ally, but it's good you posted pictures.

Your husband is lucky. My wife has gotten in the habit of bringing home stray kids lately.

Could be worse Tiger, at least she isn't in the habit of bringing home stray men. :;

Glad we got to see what the dogs hole looked liked. I wasn't sure if you should keep him or not, but after seeing his poop shoot, I'm confident he's a definate keeper.

If his owner isn't looking for him, you bet I'm keeping him! I woke up this morning and all three of them (him, my Shih Tzu, and my cat) were cuddled up in bed with me.:cloud9:

You hope no calls? Some old woman is prolly having her first Christmas really alone because you have her only friend :sadwalk:

The only people that own those types of dogs are old people and Yuppies :snicker:

and cher :funny:

I got one call late last night. Someone looking for a pit bull. No one ever loses one of those, and they'll never find one at the SPCA.

Speaking of the SPCA, I just got back from there. No one has filed a lost report and no one's been in looking for him. There have been no signs posted in any of the neighborhoods near the park. I filed a found report, so we'll see, but apparently no one's missing him that badly. When I first found him, Tom said that people do just dump dogs in the park because they know that there are always people there walking their own dogs and theirs would be sure to be found by someone, but I thought yeah right, maybe a pit or something but not a bichon. Maybe he was right? It's still weird though.

I think I'll name him Sherpa.
