We supposedly had a great running game coming into this year
We supposedly had a great defense coming into this year
With those 2 things, we could win games, yes enough to go to the playoffs despite starting a QB in his debut year.
In the last 3 games especially, we have done a HORRIBLE job at D, at running the ball.
So, 3 games in a row you basically expected to win a shoot out through the air with your young QB who hasnt even started a full season yet.
JP cant carry this team alone to wins, YET. Today he was god awful for sure.
But, Its a simple summation of the season, ouy DEFENSE and RUNNING GAME, plus our O-LINE cost us this season. Yes, coaching also played a huge part.
Dont hang anything other than a very bad day on our young QB, if you try to, you are foolish. It will take time. Its everything else that failed us. Its all of that that has placed JP in a situation where he must do it all to win. And this early in his career it aint gonna happen.
Im not gonna get mad at JP, he has been getting better up till this week. Today he had a terrible game. Hopefully he will bounce back and learn from it. But were probably not done with bad games from him yet.
If anything, his bad play today just proves my point. If your going to expect your 10 start QB to win all the games for you, you are gonna have a horrible season. And guess what, thats about exactly what weve done.
