Daunte’s inferno could lead to QB's departure

Vikings could use sex boat charges as excuse to dump injured Culpepper

The question is, will he be back next season, NBCSports.com columnist Mike Celizic writes.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>The charges against Daunte Culpepper and three teammates are tawdry, but, although they are misdemeanors, they are hardly high crimes. In the cosmic scheme of things, though the embarrassment will linger, the damage will not be lasting. And, if they choose, the Vikings can use the charges to make a fundamental change in the team.
The Vikings can cut Culpepper.
It would be a huge move, even bigger than the decision to let Randy Moss go ply his skills and play his games in Oakland. Over his first five seasons in the NFL, Culpepper had been one of the most prolific passers in
NFL history, and his 110.9 rating last year was the fourth-highest ever.

Culchoker is one of the most overrated QB's in the NFL. He's nothing without the top WR in football. No.

While I am still supporting JP, Dante is my favorite non Bill by far! I would love to have him.

He turns the ball over as much as a former Bills pariah did. No thanks.

Culpepper was still good last year when Moss was out of the lineup for half the season.

This year was a total cluster F at the beginning of the year for the entire team.

He makes WAY too much money though. Keep JP and build the OL and DL.

This is not really that nice, I am rooting for the same team as you everyday for a very long time. When I get cut my blood still bleeds blue, not red.

I think Culpepper's poor play has had more to do with Linehan being gone than Moss. I still think he's a good QB. He wouldn't come here nor do the Bills need him (especially with his price tag). I could see him in Arizona with the coach that drafted him; with DCulpepper and that recieving corps, Az would finally have the potent offense DG wants.

They just had a deal the other day on one of the sports sites calling him and Williams huge busts in their draft class. He is less than steller

I agree on the stupidity of this post, why do people keep posting things about free agents or people nearing retirement (favre) that should come to Buffalo, and really have no business coming to Buffalo. This is the dumbest idea ive read. I understand throwing questions out there hypothetically, but every week theres a post about a QB we should bring in, or some other guy who we totally dont need. It is getting annoying.

Nah, we'll take back that Pat Williams guy first. Remember him?

And Skooby, this thread is so ****ing gay. Where do you come up with this BS?

No way. Far too inconsistent. I'm prepared to ride the shoulders of JP into next season. Give him an OL to stand behind, and I think he'll be fine.

I can't believe threads like this are allowed to carry on. It's disgusting. Almost as bad as a Devin thread.

For those who are comparing him to the former Bills QB:

Drew:
57.3% comp rate
241 TDs/192 INTs
117 fumbles (48 lost)
77.5 QB rating

Daunte:
64.4% comp rate
135 TDs/86 INTs
81 fumbles (33 lost)
91.5 QB rating

In any event, I don't want him as we don't need another controversy. Far more pressing needs on the line, etc.

We dont need a QB Losman is a good young QB who if the proper positions are brought in then he'll make an impact on our offense!
