The Stages of Fan Denial

[Mr. Cynical]

When your team sucks, fans go through 4 stages:

1. Denial - "We're really good, we just aren't getting the breaks."
2. Negotiation - "We're really close and are just a good QB away from being right there"
3. Anger - "We are not a good team and we need to fire the GM/coach/etc."
4. Acceptance - "We suck and we aren't going to get any better. Time to watch hockey."

IMO, we've been stuck in stage 2 for 4 years. I think we are finally getting into stage 3 by the comments I've been reading. Stage 4 is where Cincy and Aint's fans were in years past. I will be in stage 4 next season if TD is still here.

then thats where I've been stuck for a couple years now. But no matter how bad we get/are, I'll be there hoping for better days soon.
