Donahoe and Mularkey both call this offense a power running team and smashmouth football. I think thats the biggest load of **** that I have ever heard. If it's smashmouth football...why the hell is the starting running back getting the ball 10-15 times a game?!?! :shakeno:

They give up on the run too early and then try to slip it in too late. This is disgusting. If anything, we are more of a dink and dunk passing team than a running team. :ill:

If we were a power running team, Willis should be getting the ball 25-30+ times a game. And even if he only gets 3 yards a carry...just keep pounding the ball.

Here's his stats....

Week 1 - HOU: 22 carries for 117 yards
Week 2 - @TB: 13 carries for 34 yards
Week 3 - ATL: 27 carries for 140 yards
Week 4 - @NO: 16 carries for 84 yards
Week 5 - MIA: 31 carries for 86 yards
Week 6 - NYJ: 29 carries for 143 yards
Week 7 - @OAK: 16 carries for 50 yards
Week 8 - @NE: 31 carries for 136 yards
BYE
Week 10 - KC: 20 carries for 66 yards
Week 11 - @SD: 10 carries for 39 yards
Week 12 - CAR: 21 carries for 53 yards
Week 13 - @MIA: 27 carries for 81 yards
Week 14 - NE: 8 carries for 3 yards
Week 15 - DEN: 9 carries for 36 yards

I didn't drink much yesterday because it was too ****ing cold...so I had a little bit today to enjoy the football games. plus, i'm not working tonight. :jig:

But I am serious with this thread. This is NOT a power running team. We are built to be one, but we don't do it. Also, they did better running the ball when Jason Peters was a blocking TE and Mike Williams was at RT. :sigh:

I am sick and tired of Bills players and coaches making statements like that. "Smashmouth football" "Best Defense in history" "Best RB in the league" They need to STFU and play friggin ball and let everyone else make the conclusions. I think this is what most disturbs me about this team this year!

:goodpost:

Especially true since WM is a type of runner that NEEDS over 20 carries to get in gear.
