With every game handing out 2 points to a winner (Even if sometimes that winner comes via the parlor trick shootout), it doesn't matter who we're playing when. We have to worry that there are a full 2 points to gain. I don't think you're going to see teams sneaking into the playoffs with 78-80 points any longer. I think in the East, your #8 seed is going to need around 85 points to get in, while the West will see its #8 seed around 90 points. :crap:

you like how we are always playing ottawa the night after anothergame and we have to travel.. dumb nhl..
