The Sabres made the big time -- a Tim Russert shout-out on Meet The Press! Well deserved given that Buffalo has won seven straight. Even better? Ryan Miller was strong in his first game back since Oct. 28, a 2-1 shootout win over Philly. Hopefully, Team USA won't regret its decision.

The Western New York faithful are going to point to a team with the third-most points in the league. Ever the critic that I am, I'll note that the last eight wins have all been by one goal (excluding the empy-netter in Colorado). These are things that weigh much better in the standings than as a reflection of power.
Key Injuries: RW J.P. Dumont (abdominal), LW Taylor Pyatt (wrist), D Dmitri Kalinin (finger).

Biron won his 13th straight start last Saturday night, giving him the longest such sreak since Chris Osgood won 13 consecutive during the 1995-96 season. As for the Sabres, they have won 10 of 11 and are 14-1-1 since Nov. 12. And at the start of the season Sabres fans were worried about the lack of superstars.
