It's a foregone conclusion that President and General Manager Tom Donahoe is going to be fired at the end of the season. There is no way the Bills can fire Mularkey and keep Donahoe. Donahoe already has jettisoned one head coach. The Bills can not market the team next year with Donahoe at the top. It is apparent his relationship with Wilson has soured considerably. And even Donahoe has acknowledged to friends in recent weeks that he expects to be fired.

Hey, outstanding, if true, we must just have some light at the end of this dark dark tunnel. The next unfortunate part is that Ralph is unlikely to get a true UPGRADE to TD in the version of a proven playoff team building GM. Lets hope to hell it aint Pioli who would only draft and sign a bunch of no names in hopes that he can install the Pats concept here in Buff WITHOUT a stud HC, hasnt worked in the last decade and hasnt worked with TD, but now, suddenly, with Pioli it will? Not quite. Lets not fool ourselves into YET AGAIN believing that if we dont have a overachieving QB, and a SB caliper HC, that you can just plug in no-names and get to the SB here in Buff. TD tried to take it a step farther and do it WITHOUT the aforementioned QB and HC and failed miserably!!!

After getting another retread GM, we can only hope that THAT GM steps up and gets a HC with LOTS of experience including the playoffs or more, We COULD feel good about Modrak for getting Andy Reid, but then again Reid ALSO came in with no previous HC experience and was the youngest HC ever at that point. Past performance is the best predictor of the future in this case.

Again, the concept is easy, its been our achilles heel for years, when change isnt a TRUE UPGRADE, its actually just a DOWNGRADE. Stand still is actually getting worse when everyone else is trying to move forward.

Very nicely said...
