NYJ lost to the browns 31-21 in the first MNF game in 1970. The NYJ lost again tonight 31-21 to NE, for the last ABC Monday night football game.

I have never took a breath without there being MNF on ABC, how sad. Very, very sad.

That is erie isnt it. ABC put on a good show for the most part even when the game was crappy. I hope ESPN doesnt try to make MNF into some glam show. Who are the new announcers for mon & sun night football next year?

ABC is pretty much ESPN anyways right? I don't see how it'll change that much.

68% of the homes in the US have cable, which means 32% will not be able to see the games over the air. The advertisers don't realise that some of their best customers will no longer see what they offer. It's really sad that ~1/3 of the US homes have to make a new arrangement to watch MNF football.

Good point, Skoob. I didn't think about that. My dad is going to be pissed. They have basic cable.

The way I see it, 1/3 of the TV viewers out there will now be spared the Dallas Cowboys battling the Arizona Cardinals, the annoyingly condescending John Madden's "commentary", or the Green Bay Packers' 8th MNF game of the season.

They should feel lucky.

Another good point. Why do we as Bills fans care anyway. I can't even remember the last time we were on there. Hasta la vista.

I haven't cared about it since they decided to go for the big media markets and not look for good matchups. I realize that w/ free agency and all, it's tougher to determine how teams will turn out 5 months prior to the start of the season, but I just have no interest in seeing the same small group of teams on MNF all the time. The games are boring, the "spectacle" is gone, and it's time for it to move on.

Always in Pittsburgh, and we'd always get killed. But then we'd beat them in the playoffs. :D

I don't care where MNF is aired as long as I can watch it.
