I won't be getting home from work until sometime around 5ish, so I hope to see a pretty decent remainder of the game when I do!

Great game, regardless of losing in the shootout. One of the best overtimes I've ever seen.

Unfortunately, you can't swap a goalie out on a SO unless he's hurt.

But I agree- Biron 's biggest weakness is stopping a breakaway. Top shelf every time.

Breakaways have always been one of marty's biggest weaknesses. They should trade him before his value drops again. Dont F this up Darcy.

Martin Biron's value did not go up or down that much, even after the Ottawa disaster and the 13 game winning streak. Hot and cold spells like that don't make or break a goaltender's value. He is still going to net not much more than maybe an average player, a prospect, or a higher draft pick (i.e. a second rounder). He is not going to get a Bertuzzi in here, even if they traded him right during his winning streak. I really don't think moving him is necessary. You aren't going to get his worth in a trade, and given that the Sabres are so far under the cap, his salary is not that big an issue either.

It's a sellers market for Goalies.

I bet we can get a lot for Marty, if we are willing to pick up some salary.

I just used him as an example, as I heard a rumor (though a ridiculous one) about it. Point is, if the Sabres get an NHL player for Biron, it will be an average one at best.
