All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Lewis said they will tag Spikes with either a franchise or transition tag to keep him in Cincy. Lewis was quoted as saying “He has huge goals. I think I can help him with those.”
Ah well, it was nice to dream of Takeo wearing a Bills uni.
Anyone else see a rivalry (hatred) developing between the bills and bengals?
Lets see:
2 years ago we denied Marvin Lewis a coaching job
Last year, we beat them out for Bledsoe
This past season, we whipped them in the final game
Rumors swirl about their ex head coach coming on board with the Bills
Lewis gets hired there, and was not their first choice
They deny us the chance to talk to their OL
They Tag Spikes.
I say if the Bungholes are thinking in their situation, that 1 player will make a difference, then it will be fun to watch them go with another 2-3 win season again next year. Maybe they could use the money from spikes and go out and get a few guys that may help that team.
Tagging a player only builds animosity. Last year Philly put a franchise tag on Jermaine Trotter. Trotter was so pissed off he started bad mouthing Philly and they lifted the franchise tag. I am not so certain the same won't happen with Spikes. Spikes already said he wants to play for a competitor and Mike Brown has to go before he will play for Cincy. I haven't heard Mike Brown is leaving his position. Don't think Spikes didn't get the message when Lewis said he won't accept players bad mouthing the Bengals which he was referring about Spikes.
