Brees suffers torn labrum, faces four-month rehab

The Chargers' decision on Drew Brees (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5479)' future became much cloudier Monday when the quarterback said he needs surgery for a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder.

From what I've read about torn labrums, the 4 month recovery time for Drew Brees is very optimistic. And there has to be some uncertainty regarding his future. I came across this article on torn labrums recently. It deals with major league baseball players and states that out of the 36 players diagnosed with torn labrums in the past 5 years, only 1 returned to his previous level of performance. Sure it's a different sport, but for throwing motions this is the worst injury one can have. Here is the link to the article.
