(January 4, 2006) — The Buffalo Bills will hold a news conference at 1 o'clock today to address a reshuffling of their front office, owner Ralph Wilson said late Tuesday.
"We will have some news for you," said Wilson, declining to elaborate.
It's expected that the club will announce the firing of president and general manager Tom Donahoe, whose Bills were 31-49 in five seasons with no playoff appearances.
Speculation centers on assistant general manager Tom Modrak being promoted to take over Donahoe's football duties and Russ Brandon, the club's vice president of business development and marketing and one-time member of the Rochester Red Wings' front office, assuming more business control. The shakeup could also involve bringing back Marv Levy, the Bills' winningest coach in history and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, in an oversight capacity.
