View Full Version : MORE NEWS: TOM CLEMENTS RELEASED, Levy possibly to head coach!

As per ESPNews.

They just brought John Clayton on for about 5 mins to talk about the press conference and he said that Clements was released, and Brad Rolle may be next along w/ JG.

He said it was "a very strange press conference" and that eventhough Levy was not named today he would be named within the next day or two.

There is still speculation as to what capacity he will operate in, but the fact that Mularkey is under heavy review and some of his staff has been let go makes it a 50/50 shot that he is gone.

He said Levy has been trying to get back into coaching for the past few seasons and that it should not come as a shock that if RWS and Levy do not like what transpires as a result of the review/talks with Mularkey, Mularkey will be let go and Levy could possibly be named coach.

80 year old HC? Just when you think Vermill is old retiring at 69...

Im glad Clements is gone and potentially Rolle/Gray but not so sure we need an 80 year old coach.

I don't think Levy is going to coach - but if he is, PLEASE LET US GET CAPERS AND TURNER FOR HIS COORDINATORS.

We can be the first pro sports team to be sponsored by Geritol and Metamucil! Geriatric Power!

Levy ought to be fine even if he is 80. The man is a health advocate from what i've heard. I don't know why so many people are so concerned with him biting the dust on the sidelines rather than doing whatever it takes to win a superbowl. Having levy around the club brings back some optimism. Unlike Mularkey, he knew how to get players to buy into the program.

The Viagra Sponsorship will be great for landing valuable FAs - if we ever need anyone who's a FA from Minnesota (maybe Corey Chavous whenever he becomes a FA)

Clements was the OC, Mularky called the plays. What did Clements do again?

Id take Levy back. MM and TD were about saving their own butts. Levy wont take crap from any of the players, and a HOF coach would deserve respect.

Clements should have been let go halfway through the season when Mularkey took over the play calling for the offense.

What's the point of keeping him around?

'Marv Levy, you have just led the Buffalo Bills to the playoffs. What are you going to do now?"

'I am going to take a nap, then go see my great - great grandkids. Thanks Geritol!"

Let's just say he's probably not in line for a heart attack. He's younger than Ralph, that's all I know.
