There are SEVERAL KEY guys we should watch tonight that are possibly in contention for one or more of our picks:

Obviously Bush and Leinhart, USC are gone by 8, and therefore all the rest of our picks.

No order:

1) Winston Justice- career RT, USC #74
2) John Scott- OT, Texas #73
3) Rod Wright DT, Texas #90
4) Mike Huff SS, projects to CB as well, Texas #7
5) Darnell Bing S, USC #20
6) Lutui- OT, starting LG with RT experience, USC #71
7) LenDale White, RB USC #21
8) Vince Young, QB Texas- Collegegame day squad said he STILL isnt sure. #10
9) Dominique Byrd, TE, USC #86
10) Frostee Rucker, DE, USC #90
11) Will Allen, OG, Texas #72
12) Aaron Harris, LB, Texas #2
13) Justin Wyatt, CB USC #24

You can scratch off Vince Young too. He'll be gone by 8 also.

I'd love to get Vince Young with our 8th pick.

He's Michael Vick with a accurate arm.

Add the other Texas OT, Blalock.

Agreed, Huff is borderline top 10.

Rod Wright? The guy has done NOTHING in t his game and aint even double teamed!

NOW, if I think we could easily land one hell of a O or D lineman at our early 2nd.

Hell, Id trade our 2 and one of our 3's for Winston Justice in the mid to late 1st.

i agree, Justice has played a good game so far and so has HUff (until that last play). I would take any of these guys in the 2nd if they fell, not likely though.

Winston Justice
John Scott
Rod Wright
Mike Huff
Darnell Bing
Lutui

Vince is really starting to come into his own. He's making decisions (both passing and scrambling) quicker and his arm the past two games has looked very good and accurate (compared to the rest of the season when he would just throw it up and let the wideout run to it.). I'd be all for the Bills drafting Vince if he could keep playing like this.

Trade everything including Willis for Bush.

agreed. Im really really liking Vince. If anything, the guy looks like he'll turn out to be a Donovan McNabb type of player in the pros. I'd be more than happy if we took him with the #8 pick.

As for Winston Justice... no way do we waste an 8th pick for a RT.

Young is as overrated as it gets.

He'll fall flat on his face in the NFL.

Young overrated? Not sure about that. Compared to JP, and based on what I'm watching tonight, I'll take young over JP. Runs like Vick with Culpepper's size. 180 yards rushing alone. Decent arm long and good touch on short passes. Better than some other 6' 5" NFL QB's.

Willis, our 8th, and one of our 3rd's? Yeah, the Texans may take it.

So, heres my wrap up.

Rod Wright did NOTHING in this game. That makes him NOT worthy of the 8 pick IMO, Both he and Ngata really played average in their bowl games.

Mike Huff made some plays and missed some plays, not 8th pick based on today.

Darnell bing was another boom or bust type player, see Huff

Vince Young basically took the game over. Hes very very good. Now, he doesnt have the arm youd like to see, I dont know whether its a slow release, mechanics, or what but he just looks goofy throwing the ball. Good presence in the pocket, some questionable decisions, overall a great prospect. I wouldnt draft him at 8, but some other team will covet him and probably take him higher. I just dont see enough all around game but he is proven. The hype is sky high, thats a fact. Id bet on NYJ landing him.

Lutui- absolutely OWNED Wright. If your a fan of BIG LG type that can play both the run and pass, this is your guy. 365 lbs? And he isnt fat. What a wonderful 2nd or 3rd rounder he could make for us. And unlike Bennie, he has been well coached to not get penalties

Scott- Looked very very good at LT and kept Frostee Tucker at bay. Hes got great feet, and does well against the run. But he looks sound and not as "goofy" as Mike was/is. I want John Ogden at the 8 pick, I just dont see anyone outside of D'Brick who makes that type of statement.

I thought Chad Scott played very well. I've never seen a LT with such quickness getting off the ball. He was very athletic and controlled and extremely mobile. He also made a helluva play on that last TD allowing Young time to slip out the other side. IMO I think after last nights performance he moved into the same class as D'Brick. Be careful wishing for Ogden he has a lot problems with speed rushers, ie. Freeney, Scott looks like he has the quickness to get off the ball and set up against those guys. Very sound technically. I'd take him at 8, no doubt---maybe he can even motivate fat ass MW to play better.
