Before we all get excited about young, the over/under was 70 points

The over/under was 70 points last night, they were expecting these guys to run & pass and score alot. Matt L was 29/40 for 365 yards. Young was 30/40 for 267 in the air but he had 19 carries for 200 YARDS, which is alot but both these defenses weren't expected to stop each other.

Great game but lets not put these guys on a pedastel just yet.

I agree...Young was by far the best player on the field in a national championship game. His performance was the best in any bowl game this year, let alone being in the national championsip game. He also went up to Columbus earlier in the year and beat OSU who just recently dominated a very good ND team. How do you not put him on a pedalstal?

I was impressed by Vince's composer. He was pressured a lot. He even made at least 4 throws where a defender was hanging onto him at the moment. Played about as good a game as you can as far as QBs go.

They were number 1 and 2 in the country. Young out performed the last two Heisman winners. Now tell why they shouldn't be put on a pedastal.

Personally I thought both Young and Lienart played great.

Yeah but what are Bush and Lienart but Vince Young as two people?
